Spanish Introduction

 

You are going into a country where minimal amounts of english are spoken.  

On the construction sites there will be a local foreman and community members who have minimal english.

You have two choices.  

1) Ask the group translater what was said.

2) Learn some spanish, and understand what's being said around and to you!

Pronunciation Tips

Every letter has only one sound and each letter in the word is pronounced, unlike English!!

  • Two L's (ll) make a y sound.

  • Two R's (rr) you roll them.

  • V's are pronounced as B's.

  • Z's are pronounced as S's.

  • J's are pronounced as H's.

  • H's you don't pronounce.
